In the long run - A personal strategic development workshop for life science managers in SMEs

"Fit for Health" is organizing the second international strategy development workshop for life science executives.

This training day is offering personal development for life sciences managers to help them tackle the strategic challenges of their current role. Industry experts and trainers are also giving their time to create this unique opportunity for life sciences entrepreneurs.

Creating New Business Opportunities for SMEs in the Life Sciences Area: Are you already prepared for H2020 in the Health sector? 

Due to the diversity and growing complexity of the funding landscape, Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) need targeted support and a strategic orientation to make optimal use of the funding opportunities available to them. In an increasingly competitive environment in European healthcare innovation, the shift from an ad-hoc participation to a long-lasting and sustainable involvement in collaborative projects is pivotal for the growth of innovative SMEs.

The novel structure of Horizon 2020 offers a wide range of participation possibilities in the Health sector covering a heterogeneous field and SMEs need to be prepared for their participation right from the beginning.
SMEs working in health-related areas can come from very diverse sectors, encompassing drug discovery, diagnostics (e.g. infections), food safety (e.g. microbial infections, but also prevention), e-Health/ICT (e.g. mobile and home healthcare delivery), health policies, medtech (devices), nanotech (e.g. drug delivery, vaccines), and others – this is why a wide range of Horizon 2020 programmes will be of interest to health-related SMEs.
